Dario Gloria

Dario Sanchez Gloria, 62, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Visitation with family will be from 2-4pm, on Sunday, October 13 at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service celebrating Dario’s life will be at 10am, Monday, October 14 at Life.Church in Derby. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery will follow the funeral service. 

Throughout his life, he was always pouring into others, always showing a deep love and passion for his family, work, family gatherings, sports, and sugar “free” sweets. A man that would go above and beyond for everyone around him with no regard to what he was going through. A man that loved to coach and lead others. A man that stuck to his word and gave his all and all that he did. A man that was such much more than a man; he was a husband, tio (uncle), father, son, brother, grandfather, cousin, and friend. A man that had a lasting impact on everyone he came in contact with. 

In his final moments, his thoughts were on getting to work on time, so he could continue being there for those who depended on him. His last breaths were not focused on himself, but on the love and care he consistently gave to others, a true testament to the selflessness that defined him. 

Dario is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josephine Gloria; son, Dario Gloria, Jr; and sister, Sonia Almaraz. He is survived by his loving wife, Saundra Gloria; children, Aubreanna Gloria, Emilio Paco Gloria, and Natasha Stevenson; siblings, Omega (Bobby) Oberg, Suelema (Daniel) Cedillo, and Jose Gloria, III; grandchildren, Dominic Gloria, Dakota Gloria, Tyler Logsdon, Donovan “Guerro” Gloria, Penelope Huckins-Gloria, Paisley Huckins-Gloria, Rilan Turner, Maddison Turner, and Sophie Turner.
