Charles Stockton

Charles (Bud) D. Stockton, age 90, of Wichita, KS went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 2:52 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home in Wichita, KS.

He was born on April 21, 1928 in Valier, Illinois, the son of George R. and Mary A. Stockton. He attended and graduated from Knoxville High School and also graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Engineering. On December 9, 1956, he married Caroline “Lynn” Caulkins and remained married to her until his death 62 years later. Together, they had four children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both parents and his brother, James W. Stockton. He is survived by his wife, Caroline “Lynn” Stockton, daughters, Wendy (Bill) Snyder of Overland Park, KS and Nancy Moore of Springfield, Mo; sons, Greg (Shelly) Stockton of Front Royal, VA, and Tim (Diane) Stockton of Wichita, KS.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a retired engineer at Learjet, retiring in 1992.

Private services will be held at Central Community Church in Wichita, KS with interment at Kensington Gardens in Wichita, KS.
