Carolyn Stark

Carolyn Sue Stark, 83, homemaker, affectionately called Mimi by her family, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 in Wichita, KS.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Countryside Christian Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband and best friend of 62 years, David Stark; her daughter, Shawna and husband Kevin Horsch; grandchildren, Courtney and husband, Billy Walston, Bailey Horsch and David Horsch. She also leaves behind her great-grandson, Miles Walston. Miles was her "Pride and Joy" she proudly told everyone about him, telling them about how much of a miracle he is even showing pictures of him to strangers.

Carolyn loved the thrill of the hunt for a bargain. Finding a deal at a garage sale, clipping coupons, looking at sales ads or best yet, finding the perfect item on the 3rd mark down at Von Maur.

She was proud to be an "Okie" and loved when people would comment about her OU hat.

From sewing on a button to making a wedding gown, she was a talented seamstress and she never met a stain that she could not get out.

She was small but mighty and there was no stopping her when she set her mind to something.

Fiercely loyal and passionate about her family, she would be she would do anything for any one of us. Carolyn will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
