Sayre, Carolyn, 81, (Schroeder) passed away peacefully at home in Middletown, NJ on March 4, 2016 Visitation with family present will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday March 14th with services 10:00 AM Tuesday both at the Broadway Mortuary with interment to follow at Old Mission Cemetery. Carolyn was born in Wichita, KS on May 8, 1934 where she grew up attending local schools including Willard Elementary school and eventually graduating from East High School class of 1951. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. After graduating from High School, she married Glenn Sayre (class of 1950) and became the homemaker / housewife caring for her 2 children. As the children got older she went to work part-time selling Avon and eventually worked full time for Koster Interviewing Service doing Market Research / Mall Intercept Product studies for various companies until 1989 when she decided to retire. Carolyn was the beloved wife to Glenn – who passed away in 2012 – they were married for 59 years. She was the mother to Debbie. She was predeceased by her parents Art and Lucille, and son Jack. Having moved and lived in various states over the past 60 years – her dream was that someday she would be able to move back “home” to Wichita.
