Caroline "Carol" Farha

Caroline "Carol" Farha, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and retired Gifted Facilitator, was born on July 23, 1938 and passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, February 26, at the Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N.  Trisagion and Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28, at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th St. N.  Burial will take place at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 1, at Wichita Park Cemetery, 2500 N. Hillside.

Carol was born in Rhode Island and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, by her parents, Elias and Nora Nahas. She was a graduate of Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Education from Notre Dame College of St. John's University in New York, along with a Master of Education degree in Education Psychology from Wichita State University. She worked as a Gifted Facilitator with the Wichita Public Schools.

Carol's life was marked by extensive involvement with her family, her church (Past President of St. George Cathedral Guild), and her civic commitment to the arts including Mark Arts (Designing Women), the Wichita Art Museum (Murdock Society), the Wichita Symphony (Past President of Allegro Society), and Wichita State University SASO Scholarship.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Nora Nahas and son, Brad Farha. She is survived by her husband, Norman Sam Farha; sons, Albert (Becky) Farha of Woodland, MN, Clifford of Wichita, KS; Brad's wife, Heather of Olathe, KS; grandchildren, Sage Farha, Nick Farha, Dolly Farha, Rowan Farha, and Brynn Farha.
