IN LOVING MEMORY OF CARL JOHNSON JR
Carl Edward Johnson, Jr. (CJ) passed away September 29 th at the age of 51 in Wichita, Kansas. CJ was born November 19 th , 1972, to his late father, Carl Edward Johnson SR and Bennie Evelyn Johnson of Wichita, Kansas. CJ was one of four siblings of this union. He received his education in Wichita, Kansas attending Dodge Elementary School, Mayberry Middle School, and Wichita High School West. CJ worked at Cessna/Textron Aviation for the last 27 years as an aircraft mechanic. CJ married the love of his life Deanna Johnson. They were married for 12 wonderful years. To this union they shared five children, the late Jasmine Dominique Gonzalez, LaDessa (Donquez) Collier, Trishele Johnson, Jordan (Arica) Smith, and Kiona (Mark) Daye.
His favorite passion growing up was playing football, which everyone knew he was an absolute beast at! As he got older CJ enjoyed attending airshows. The Blue Angels were his favorite. He also loved fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. For everyone that knew CJ knows he loved the Kansas Jayhawks and the Chicago Bears. CJ had a huge heart and was always willing to help any and everyone. He was preceded in death by his father Carl E. Johnson Sr, and his daughter Jasmine Dominique Gonzales.
CJ leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Deanna Johnson; his 3 daughters LaDessa (Donquez) Collier, Trishele Johnson, Kiona (Mark) Daye, his son Jordan (Arica) Smith, and 11 grandkids. He is also survived by his mother Bennie Johnson, 2 sisters Sheila Daye and Danica (Travis) McLaughlin; his brother Eric Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
God saw you getting weary,
So He did what He thought was best.
He came and stood beside you and whispered,
Come Carl and rest.
You gave no one a last farewell,
Not even a goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why!
A visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 11 at The Cozine Life Events Center
A celebration of life service will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 12 at The Cozine Life Events Center
