Byron Wayne Foster, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Byron Foster was multi-talented. He could fix practically anything, play the guitar and piano, teach a physics class, negotiate a car repair bill, and tell a funny story about being near, but not at, the fall of the Berlin wall. He made friends everywhere he went with his unconditionally welcoming spirit. Musicians and artists loved him and his unwavering support of the arts. Wichita will be less colorful with the passing of a one -of- a- kind, very kind man. He leaves behind his daughter Claudia Carolyne Foster, who was the light of his life, and stepchildren Jessica and Garrett Tibbets. He is also survived by his sister Janet Beaudreaux and grandchildren, Lincoln Tibbets and Zeke Holmes. His family thanks Brandon and Daniel for their support in his last years.
An outdoor, socially- distanced service celebrating Byron will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in the parking lot of College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st, Wichita, KS 67214. (Bring your own lawn chair.) In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to https://ictfreefood.org. Share condolences at www.cozine.com. Arrangements by Cozine Memorial Group-Broadway Mortuary.
