Beverly Weis

It is with great sadness, that the family of Beverly J. Weis announces her passing on October 5, 2019, at her home at the age of 64. Beverly was born July 29, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Wilma Rockenbach and Willis Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sharon Hodge; stepfather, Marlyn "Rocky" Rockenbach; and sisters, Bonnie K. Spangler and Sherie J. Hodge. Beverly is survived by her sons, Bruce (Misty) Weis and James Weis of Wichita; granddaughters, Jessica Dinkel of Denver, CO, Autumn and Emily Weis of Wichita; sisters, Belinda Morgan of Springfield, MO, Tracy Hodge of Phillipsburg, KS, and Polly (Craig) Gill of Spokane, WA; brother, Christopher (Christina) Jackson of San Diego, CA; and numerous foster children including Cody Masiero of Rapid City, SD. Beverly met life's challenges with awesome resourcefulness, hard work, and amazing courage. Her greatest achievement was raising her sons. Beverly proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy Reserves, attended WSU, and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She thoroughly enjoyed creating things with her granddaughter and loved fishing and shooting pool.
