Beverly Ann Boyle, 73, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 21st, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Morton and Mary Smith, and is survived by her husband, Tony Boyle; step-son, Joshua and Kelli Boyle; brother, Claude Smith; sister, Margie Warden; step-grandson, Ollie Boyle; nephews, Mikey Nutile; nieces, Gina and Katie; and great-nephews, Cason, Tony, Chandler, and Matthew: and great-niece, Vanessa.
As a Grand Master in Taekwondo, a title I earned after decades of dedication, I thought I knew a thing or two about discipline and perseverance. But Beverly was the one who truly taught me about strength, loyalty, and love. She was my partner, my friend, and my everything. In Taekwondo, I may have held the title of Grand Master, but at home, Beverly was the one who truly outranked me. She was the master of my heart, and I was happy to surrender to her love and leadership. And she never hesitated to remind me of her superior rank, keeping me in line with her sharp wit and loving humor.
Beverly's love for animals wasn't limited to cats – she also had a passion for birds. Our home was a sanctuary for her feathered friends, with a dedicated bird room that brought her immense joy. She took great care in nurturing her birds, and they brought her comfort, peace, and happiness. Beverly's compassion for animals knew no bounds. Our home became a wildlife sanctuary, with possums, raccoons, and even the occasional skunk stopping by for a meal. The cat food was a buffet for all, and Beverly delighted in watching these furry and sometimes prickly visitors. Beverly was the undisputed CEO of our home.
When contractors came to work on the house, she'd oversee the project, issuing clear instructions and ensuring every detail met her high standards. Her perfectionism was legendary, and workers soon learned to appreciate her keen eye and constructive feedback. The result was a beautiful, well-maintained home that Beverly took immense pride in. She tended to our yard with love, coaxing the grass to grow thick and green. Beverly's dedication and love transformed our house into a warm, welcoming home, filled with laughter, memories, and her boundless spirit. One evening, early in our relationship, I visited Beverly's parents. Her mother asked me a question that caught me off guard: 'Are you going to take care of my daughter?' I hesitated, but my heart knew the answer. I promised to care for Beverly, and I did my best to keep that promise. Over the years, Beverly proved to be a strong-willed and spirited partner – a handful, but a loving one. I feel grateful to have shared a life with her, through all its ups and downs.
