Barbara Wilson Bath went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She lived a life full of kindness and joy, leaving a legacy of love to all those who knew her. Barbara was born on July 20, 1937 in Jetmore, Kansas to parents Albert and Eula Conness Wilson. She was the cherished wife of James H. Bath for 54 years. She was the adored mother of Jeremy Bath, Jenny (Ken) Imhoff, and Julie (Corey) Lorenzen. Barbara was the devoted and loving “Nana” to her 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Eli, Anna, and Noah. Barbara is survived by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of whom she loved like her own. Barbara lived most of her married life in Wichita, Kansas, where she was a guidance counselor for USD 259 and was very active in her church. In retirement, Barbara traveled throughout the midwest speaking at women’s groups with Stonecroft Ministries and Christian Women’s Clubs. She also educated herself about Alzheimer’s care and became a passionate advocate. Barbara truly loved people and offered open-hearted acceptance to all she met. She often commented about how blessed she was to have such great friends and neighbors. Barbara lived her life with grace and enthusiasm and a heart to serve others. Her greatest desire was to honor God. She is welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as well as many other family members and friends, all of whom she was longing to see.
