Bradford, A Madaline, 94, retired Elementary School Teacher, passed away Tuesday, Feb 2, 2021. Madaline was born at home on May 16, 1926, to Norman and Elva “May” (Wright) Bradford, on the Oil Lease near Winfield, Ks. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1944. She worked for Rex’s Café in Winfield, Ks after graduation. She also worked for Boeing in Wichita and at BF Goodrich in Winfield prior to going to Southwestern College in Winfield. After receiving her teaching degree, Madaline taught in one room school houses before accepting a position at Fabrique School in Wichita for the 1956/57 school year. She taught at Fabrique for 28 years and 2 years at Gardner Elementary before retiring. She has been a long time member of Woodland Lakes Community Church. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 on Monday, February 8th at Broadway Mortuary. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Winfield, Ks. Madaline is survived by her brother, Kenneth Bradford of Wichita. She was a loving Aunt to 11 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, and a growing number of great-great nieces and nephews. Madaline is preceded in death by her parents, Norman Bradford and Elva “May” Wright, sisters Norma Joan Bradford, Dorothy Hicks, Joyce Sultz, Beverly Fortner, and nephew Steve Sultz.
