Adalyn Askew

Adalyn Mae Askew, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024. Born 6 pounds 5 ounces, and 19.5 inches long, Addi Mae was bound to be either a tennis player, or basketball star (depending on if you asked mom or dad). "I'll Love You Til The Cows Come Home" was her favorite book, minus the pages about frogs because her mom despises them. Adalyn is in Heaven living out both her mom and dad's personalities. She is caring for every stray animal and tending to the garden. Addi Mae will be remembered through fields of wildflowers, wheat, corn, milo, or a field of whatever crop her dad is checking on at the time. She will also be remembered through her mother's art. She would have loved to ride the combine with Grandpa John and check cattle on the 4-wheeler with Grandpa Doug. Adalyn will be remembered and laid to rest with a private family graveside service. Addi Mae is preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Robert Duane Askew, Robert Brauer, and Rodney Ratzlaff. She is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Kelly Askew; grandparents, John and Sherry Askew, Doug Brauer, and Julie Makovec; great-grandparents, Janice Askew, Vivian Ratzlaff, Don and Sandy Makovec, and Lee and Glenda Ohlmeier; aunts and uncles, Samantha and Tanner Rumbaugh, and Casey and Brian Pemberton; cousins, Emery and Cayson Rumbaugh; four-legged friends, Radar, Willow, and Georgia; and several great aunts and uncles.
