Aaron Atencio spent his entire childhood in Buena Vista and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. At the age of seventeen he took his first plane trip to Europe with the Buena Vista High School foreign language department. Travel quickly became his passion which led to his goal of heavily combining travel into not only his leisure time, but his career.
Two decades later and with over 75 countries to his name, he still travels a majority of the year, yet loves calling Buena Vista home for part of the it. From sailing down the Nile to exploring the glaciers of Argentina to hiking the blue-flamed volcano Ijen of Indonesia, he loves exploring the world. One of his favorite moments continues to be the first glimpse of glorious Mount Princeton while descending from Trout Creek Pass into the valley.
